Private Courses (for Firms or Law Schools)

• Upfront Cost
  • Currently, our private substantive courses are $22,500 plus tax for the full 9-10 hour course.

• What’s Included
  • This includes all of the benefits listed here.
• Discounts
  • For firms that hire us to deliver multiple courses, we’re generally willing to reduce our price to $20,000 plus tax. As we said, we’re transparent.
• Timing of Payment
  • When it comes to paying us, we’re very flexible on timing of payment. If you need to use up this year’s budget, then that sounds great to us. If you need to defer to next year, we’re generally pretty open to that as well.
• General Flexibility
  • While we find that cost is rarely an issue for firms (we’ve worked at big firms and know the reality of what profits tend to look like behind the scenes), we appreciate the need for flexibility around budgets and timing of payments.
• Exceptions
  • The cost of our Closing Folders training varies depending on what is included (most firms want multiple cohorts, a partner training session, a list of best practices, and tier-1 support).

Public Courses and Private/Public Hybrids (For Firms, Law Schools, and Individual Participants)

• Upfront Cost
  • Typically, we charge $995/person (plus tax) for our public courses and private/public hybrid courses.

• Discounts
  • If you’re a law student or you work at a firm where you’re going to be paying out of pocket (as a junior lawyer) without getting reimbursed, we’re more than happy to find an equitable way to help you participate in the course.
  • We’ve provided bursaries and other discounts to many people in the past on a compassionate basis, so please feel free to contact [email protected] if you’re in that position and want to take one of courses. We rely on the honour system for this, so please don’t abuse our generosity.
• Exceptions
  • As we noted here, we run courses in all sorts of different formats. For shorter courses, we may charge a lower price (it’s only fair after all).
