The Vision
I) Firms
- To provide firms with the opportunity - no matter their size - to offer practical and engaging corporate training to their students and junior lawyers.
- To help junior lawyers move up the learning curve more quickly, so that they can become productive mid-level and senior associates who can run their own files with less oversight.
- To help firms leverage their partners and senior associates for more high-value tasks, without having to spend time (especially 1-on-1) teaching basics to students and junior lawyers.
- To reduce absenteeism and leaves due to poor mental health, which we know is an enormous problem in the legal industry.
- To help firms distinguish themselves in the recruitment process by being able to demonstrate that they truly care about the training of their students and junior lawyers.
- To reduce attrition amongst talented junior lawyers and to keep them in the legal profession. We truly believe that being a lawyer - whether in private practice, in-house, or otherwise - can be a rewarding and enjoyable career path.
II) Lawyers and Law Students
- To dramatically improve the mental health of students and junior lawyers.
- To create an atmosphere where people are comfortable participating in class, admitting they don’t know things, and being grateful for the opportunity to learn.
- To run training that is practical, engaging, and enjoyable - regardless of whether it’s run remotely or in-person.
- To keep junior lawyers in the legal profession and set them up for success in a sustainable way.
- To show students and junior lawyers how to leverage technology so that they can do more of the work they enjoy and add greater value for clients.
- To help students and junior lawyers understand how everything fits together, so they can do their work more competently and confidently.
- To build a pipeline of courses that - if taken by any lawyer - will allow them to be a highly-sought after, competent corporate lawyer.
- To make things more equitable for law students by providing free resources that make best practices and other critical information available to everyone.
