Our first ever courses

In the summer of 2021, we ran our first ever courses. We’ll be honest - we were making things up on the fly and still figuring out what worked and what didn’t.
In spite of all that, it became really clear that we were onto something.
Even though the first batch of courses were the worst ones we’ve ever taught (we’ve made the material so much better since then), people still absolutely loved the courses!
Here’s some feedback from those initial courses.

We get feedback from the participants at the end of each class. The feedback is all anonymous, and we encourage both positive feedback and any constructive criticism.

The constructive criticism has been the key to our success - we’ve iterated our courses over and over again based on feedback we receive. While most people would be happy with a 9/10 rating on their courses, we definitely aren’t. We have high standards!

Here’s some example feedback from a firm that we custom-built a private course for.

- Keep in mind this was the first time we were running the course and there was quite a broad audience (geographically, year of call, etc.).
- Every group of participants is different, and you can see us really hit our stride in week 3 and 4 as we got a sense of the group’s preference and their knowledge.

Our private courses tend to have slightly lower feedback than our public ones.
- In our public courses, everyone tends to be their voluntarily. People also tend to be a little bit more comfortable speaking up when they don’t know most people in the course.
- With our private courses, there is always the risk that a person or two won’t be thrilled with the idea of mandatory training, so that tends to skew the ratings down a bit. Even still, you’ll see that our ratings are exceptional (and we have little doubt that if your firm’s training was graded anonymously and honestly on the same metrics, that we’d come out substantively ahead).
Our public courses tend to score in the 9.5/10 range and above on all key metrics, with great qualitative feedback as well!
